IELTS is an internationally recognised English language test and is taken by millions worldwide. North America, Philippines and Hong Kong are the top three locations with most number of test takers.
Philippines in particular is a growing market since most Filipinos aspire to work, study or migrate in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. These top countries require takers to submit a proof of English proficiency such as IELTS. The IELTS co-owner British Council is doing a great job of providing locals with accurate information about the examination and has been constantly introducing innovative ideas to help Filipinos meet their IELTS goals.
Probably one of the interesting marketing effort introduced just recently is the British Council IELTS High-flyers Club “is an exclusive group of successful British Council IELTS candidates who aim to inspire, assist and help future IELTS takers with the test”.
