Just recently a friend posted on FB a link of an 8D OPM (Original Pilipino Music) song. It caught my attention as 8D audio is new to my ear! I mean I’ve heard Ambisonic Audio but 8D???? What does it even mean? Is there such thing as 8dimensional audio? If so, I guess I am losing track of what is trendy haha
I listened to the 8D audio that was shared by my friend and even checked others that were uploaded on YouTube. Oh boy…on the first 30secs I kinda love the sound but as it goes on.. I’m no longer enjoying it. It made my head spin!!!!
I was expecting something unique and different but really the sound was just engineered to move from left to right which is actually ain’t new. Movement from those directions isn’t pleasurable for me, even if I use headphones as indicated.

To be fair and give this so called 8D audio a chance to mesmerise and awe me, I searched for other YouTube artist who is into this thing and found Revo-luution! Yeah it’s spelt that way like… yea man….stress on the …luution 😅
Honestly, of all those who claim to be 8D Audio mixer/artist or whatever you call them..Revo-luution is the best so far! Hey, it doesn’t mean I like “8D audio” though. Nope it’s not my cup of tea. For me Vinyl rules!
